Sailfish Cup is one of the biggest campus traditions at Palm Beach Atlantic University. The Cup's 28th year saw the residence hall competition shift from a single weekend of events in January to a full-year competition with additional standalone events. To help commemorate the long-standing love for the tradition and to communicate a clear cohesion between the new events, we developed a new logo and branding for the event. The branding borrowed from the university's overall palette and fonts, adding in a primary font that lent itself to a more collegiate/athletic/competitive feel.
A staggering number of assets and collateral were created for Sailfish Cup, including posters, Instagram stories and posts, emails, and promotional videos that were shared in both horizontal and vertical iterations.

Results: As a result of the events' great execution and the huge marketing/branding push, Sailfish Cup had more than 850 students participate in at least one event -- the highest number in its 28 year history!
All Hall Dodgeball Brawl
The All Hall Dodgeball Dodgeball Brawl was the litmus test for how students would respond to the expansion of Sailfish Cup into a full-year competition. The event was an enormous success, with the gym packed tight.
Flag Football Fall Fest
Flag Football Fall Fest fell on Halloween weekend and was a joint effort with the university's Steering Committee -- a team of students who plan fun social activities for the campus. The night included competitions in flag football and cornhole, as well as a fun costume contest and a pie-eating contest.
Trivia Night
The Trivia Night drew a large crowd, with students able to participate for their hall's team to win points or on a separate team with friends. All students were eligible to compete for prizes.
Sailfish Cup Weekend
The entire year-long competition concluded with Sailfish Cup Weekend -- a three-day series of more than 20 events ranging from tug-of-war to checkers to the infamous lipsync competition.
